Option 1: ISEP-Exchange: Full Year enrollment in university courses
Business (business & public administration); Earth Sciences and Regional Planning (environmental technology & forest management, geography, geology, oceanography); Economic Sciences; French Studies; Food Science and Nutrition; History (history, medieval archaeology); Humanities (ancient studies, classics, education, educational psychology, French literature, Greek, Latin, linguistics, modern letters, Norman studies, philosophy, social work, sociology, theater & cinema studies); Languages (English, German, Italian, Russian, Scandinavian, Spanish); Law and Political Science; Life Science and Behavioral Sciences (biology, endocrinology, marine biology, plant physiology, population biology, psychology); Pharmacy; Physical Education; Sciences (chemistry, computer science, electronics, materials science, mathematics, physics, radiation physics); Technology (accounting, applied biology, commerce, management & personnel, measurement techniques). Special program in French language and civilization studies.

Option 2: ISEP-Exchange: Full Year or Semester enrollment in French Studies at the CEFE
French Studies Center for Foreign Students (CEFE) offers courses in French language, civilization, literature and teaching methodology at no additional cost. This program is available on a full-year or semester basis. Students should specify on their application that they wish to be placed in the CEFE courses.

Academic Notes
All students studying at Caen are eligible to apply for paid English teaching positions at local French schools.

Language Notes
Option 1: ISEP-Exchange: Full Year enrollment in university courses
A minimum of 4-5 semesters of university level French or the equivalent must be completed prior to program.

French language courses are offered in addition to regular classes during the semester for all levels. Contact hours per week: 3.

A 2-week pre-session, intensive language program at the French Studies Center for Foreign Students (CEFE) is available for an additional fee for intermediate and advanced levels.

Option 2: ISEP-Exchange- Full Year or Semester enrollment in French Studies at the CEFE
A minimum of 0-2 semesters of university-level French or the equivalent must be completed prior to the program.

Program Dates
Option 1: ISEP-Exchange: Full Year enrollment in university courses
Academic year: Mid-September to late May.

Option 2: ISEP-Exchange: Full Year or Semester enrollment in French Studies at the CEFE
Academic year: Mid-September to late May
Semester 1: Mid-September to mid December
Semester 2: Early February to late May

Housing and Meals
ISEP students live in residence halls on campus, in single-occupancy rooms and receive a stipend for meals. No married student housing is available.

Founded in 1432, the Université de Caen enrolls 24,000 students including about 2,000 foreign students from 50 countries.

Location
A growing city with a population of 200,000, Caen is famed for its two Roman abbeys and its 11th-century castle which houses a museum. Normandy's beaches and monuments make it an enjoyable area to visit. Paris is about two hours away by train.
