Aalto University offers Master's Programmes in English. The programmes are:
Bioinformatics, Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Forest Products Technology, Machine Learning and Data Mining, Micro- and Nanotechnology, Mobile Computing - Services and Security, Security and Mobile Computing, Process Systems Engineering, Real Estate Investment and Finance, Space Science and Technology.
Students can also attend regular courses that are offered in English and follow their own schedule. The courses offered in English are listed in the university's Study Program Course information. Please note: Architecture is NOT available to ISEP students.

International students please note that preference is given to students from institutions with which this institution does not have Socrates/ Erasmus agreements.
Language Notes
The programs described above are taught in English. Knowledge of Finnish language is not required. Independent study and research projects can be arranged in English. Semi-intensive and regular courses in Finnish are available beginning in September as part of ISEP benefits.
I-to-I applicants who are not native English speakers must submit the ISEP Language Proficiency Report.
Note: The host institution ultimately determines your proficiency level and course eligibility.
Program Dates
Academic year: early September to late May. Requests for a semester exchanges are considered on an individual basis.
Housing and Meals
Aalto University provides a single room in one of the campus residences. ISEP students receive a stipend to purchase meals in the university cafeterias at reduced prices or to prepare their own meals in the residence kitchen.
Profile
Aalto University trains close to 50 percent of all Finnish university students in technological fields and offers high quality programs in English. The university has about 15,000 students. Total number of international students is about 1100.
Location
Aalot University is situated on the coast at Otaniemi, ten kilometers west of Helsinki, the capital of Finland. The modern airport, harbor, train and bus links have turned Helsinki into an important connecting point between West and East. The self-contained, green, modern campus was designed by the famed architect Alvar Aalto. It includes classroom and laboratory buildings, a student village, and various national institutes such as the Technical Research Center of Finland, Geological Survey and State Computer Center. Student union facilities include a multi-purpose student center, stadium, swimming pool, indoor sports center and athletic fields.
